Hoping to keep their winning momentum in play after their last game, Riders put on a show against Hemel Storm.
With a slow start, the Riders fought hard against Storm , who battled throughout the game to clam their victory.
Working to close the gap, Riders edged closer to Storm, ending the first half with 33-37. They continued to push throughout the final half, being incredibly strong in the final quarter. However, at the final hurdle it just wasn’t enough to pip Storm to the post losing the game by just 3 points in the final seconds.
Jonas Dieterich and Greg Wild led with 21 points each for Loughborough Riders, with Kyle Jimenez leading the assists (9).
Head Coach Mark Jarram commentated “Another great competitive game with lots of teachable moments. We have to focus on being more consistent for the duration of the 40 minutes, at the moment we fluctuate too much which creates different runs on both sides of the ball. We look forward to working on this.”
