Jamell Anderson returns to the Leicester Riders, entering his season year of contract, for the upcoming season following his return to the BBL from Spain last year.

The Nottingham native has spent his summer in Australia with the Townsville Heat following helping Riders back to Benecos BBL Playoff glory at the O2 Arena for the third straight year last season.

Anderson commented on his return to the UK and what it means to him to be suiting up for the Riders again next year.

“I’m very excited for year two with the Riders, being back has been awesome,” said Anderson. “I always want to improve day in day out and I believe the Riders embodies that mentality on and off the court.

“The team had a long season last year full of ups and downs and that’s huge for growth as players and as an organisation. It’s time build on that and show what we are about throughout the 2019/20 season.
