The Leicester Riders are the oldest professional basketball club in Britain and have been one of the most successful Basketball programs in the past 10 years at all levels of competition. The Riders have both a men’s and women’s team playing at the highest level of British Basketball. The Riders Basketball program has a long-established Academy Program that aims to prepare young talent for playing at the University and Collegiate levels. The Riders also have a semi-professional team based at one of the top sporting universities in the country, Loughborough University.

Operations Associate
Role: Assist the management and operations of the entire club
Hours: 12-16 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.
Location: Loughborough University and the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.
Key Tasks
- Support key administration for home games
- Support match-day operations and game-day experience
- Support key administration for away games
- Supporting the provision of marketing, media and communications
across the program
Essential Skills
- Key computer skills such as Microsoft and Eventbrite
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of various ages and
backgrounds - Reliable and hard-working individual with the ability to be
responsible for multiple tasks at a time - Disclosure of Barring Service (DBS)
Desirable skills
- Previous experiences playing or working in Basketball
Team Manager
Role: Assist the management and logistics of one of the Riders teams
Hours: 12-16 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.
Location: Loughborough University and the Mattioli Arena in Leicester
Key Tasks
- Support key administration for the team
- Support travel to away fixtures
- Support match-day operations and game-day experience
- Support player needs and look after team equipment
- Supporting the provision of marketing, media and communications across the program
Essential Skills
- Key computer skills such as Microsoft and Eventbrite
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of various ages and backgrounds
- Reliable and hard-working individual with the ability to be responsible for multiple tasks at a time
- Disclosure of Barring Service (DBS)

Community Coach
Role: Coach session in the community
Hours: 12-16 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.
Location: Loughborough University and the Mattioli Arena in Leicester

Charnwood Women’s Head Coach
Role: Head coach for Division 2 Charnwood Women’s team and assisting within the Women’s Program.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.

Location: Charnwood College and Loughborough University.
Key Tasks
- To deliver high-quality team training sessions which prepare the team for competition.
- To deliver high-quality individual and small group coaching sessions which revolve around player development specific to position and skillset.
- Work within the Charnwood Academy framework and with Charnwood Staff.
- To support the provision of scouting and video analysis.
- Assist the Charnwood WEABL program
Essential Skills
- Key computer skills such as Microsoft.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of various ages and backgrounds
- Reliable and hard-working individual with the ability to be responsible for multiple tasks at a time

- Level 2 coaching qualification

JNBL Coach
Role: Junior National League Coach
Hours: 6 hours per week – Weekend and bank holiday availability preferable.
Location: Mattioli Arena in Leicester
Key Tasks
- To deliver high-quality team training sessions which prepare the team for competition.
- To deliver high-quality coaching sessions which revolve around player development specific to position and skillset.
- Work within the Academy framework

Academy Accommodation Manager
Role: Managing our supported accommodation for Charnwood Academy
Hours: 18 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.
Location: Loughborough
Key Tasks
- To complete key administration to operate the house
- To complete key health and safety protocols for the house
- To manage all maintenance the house needs
- To manage all duty staff
- Work within the Academy framework

Role: Supporting game days and event management
Hours: 6 hours per week – Including weekend and bank holiday availability.

- To complete set up and pack down for game days
- Support officials and away team at our venues
- To complete key administration to operate game days
