The Leicester Riders Foundation is proud to be part of the Leicester City Council Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, helping children and families across the city stay active, healthy, and connected during the school holidays.
The HAF programme provides opportunities for children who are eligible for free school meals to take part in enriching activities while also receiving a nutritious meal. It’s all about giving young people the chance to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy positive experiences outside of the classroom.

At the Leicester Riders Foundation, we’re delighted to offer a range of exciting opportunities as part of HAF, including:
- Funded access to our holiday basketball camps – delivered by our professional coaches, giving young people the chance to play, learn, and have fun in a safe environment.
- A nutritious meal for every participant – ensuring children stay fuelled and healthy while enjoying their day.
- Opportunities to connect with others – building friendships, confidence, and teamwork through sport.
By working with the Leicester City Council and the HAF programme, the Riders Foundation is making sure that young people in Leicester can access sport and healthy food, regardless of background or circumstance.
We believe that basketball has the power to inspire, and through HAF we’re able to extend this opportunity to even more children and families across the city.
