Talented 1995 born guard Dwayne Orija joins the Loughborough Basketball programme following time overseas at Missouri State West Plains, Gillett College and Florida Tech.
The Barking Abbey alumnus featured on multiple Junior National Teams before heading stateside, returning to the UK to play on home soil for the first time since 2015.
“The programme here offers an opportunity for me to continue my studies whilst continuing playing,” commented Orija. “There a great facilities and I like the setup of the whole programme. I cant wait to to know the team as we go through the year together and look forward to improving on my game whilst being a part of the programme.”
London native Orija is one of many new faces on the Loughborough Riders programme this season and Coach Jarram is looking forward to seeing what he can do.
“Dwayne joins after stops over in the US. He will bring a level of experience and an ability to score the ball in multiple ways and is a fairly versatile player who can both play and guard different positions.”
