Leicester Riders guard RaeQuan Battle has been named Super League Basketball’s Molten Player of the Month, following a string of standout performances to open the 2025/26 season.
Battle, in his debut season with the Riders, has made an immediate impact — showcasing his dynamic scoring ability and all-round athleticism across October’s fixtures. His energy, flair, and consistency have made him one of the league’s most exciting new talents.
The American guard played has played a pivotal role in the Riders’ victory over Newcastle Eagles, where he led the charge on both ends of the floor before teaming up with fellow newcomer. Battle followed that up with a stellar performance in Leicester’s thrilling 95–93 win against Cheshire Phoenix on Halloween night, dropping 24 points 6 rebounds and 2 assists, hitting crucial shots down the stretch to seal the Riders’ win.
Battle has also begun forming a dangerous partnership with teammate Donald Carey Jr, the pair already combining for one of the highlights of the season. Their alley-oop connection in the win over Newcastle Eagles was voted Riders’ Play of the Month and has since been widely talked about as an early contender for Play of the Season.

Speaking on the award, Battle said:
“It’s a blessing to be recognised as Player of the Month, thank you to my coaches and teammates for helping me adjust! This is just a glimpse of what’s next.”
Battle becomes the first Riders player this season to receive the honour, capping off a strong October as the club looks to build momentum heading into the the opening Super League Basketball Trophy group stage away at Cheshire this Sunday.
