Leicester Riders are excited to announce the signing of British Center Aaron Menzies for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.
Menzies, who most recently competed across Europe, brings a wealth of experience to Head Coach Rob Paternostro’s squad. The British big man, born in Manchester, has built an impressive career that has seen him feature for top sides in Spain and Germany.
The 7’3” forward rejoins the Riders after previously representing the club during the 2022/23 season, where he quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his size, presence in the paint, and energy on both ends of the floor.
In his stint with the club, Menzies appeared in 27 games, averaging 4.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while also previously representing Great Britain Basketball at the international level.

Speaking on his return, Menzies commented:
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be back playing for the Riders again. I enjoyed my time here during the 2022–23 season, and I’m looking forward to having more success with the club this year. I’ve put in a lot of work over the past year during my rehab to get back on the court and now I’m ready to give my best and help the team win.“
Head Coach Rob Paternostro added:
“We’re pleased to welcome Aaron to the team. His familiarity with our system, combined with his size and strength, will make him a strong addition to our front.”
