Leicester Riders are thrilled to announce the signing of American guard Kedrian ‘Keddy’ Johnson for the remainder of the Super League Basketball season.
The 6’3” guard arrives in Leicester following a standout professional journey that includes his most recent stint with Hoops Club in the Lebanese Basketball League, where he showcased his scoring instincts, playmaking ability, and leadership on the court. In Lebanon, Johnson established himself as a primary offensive creator, delivering consistently in high-pressure matchups.
Prior to his time in Lebanon, Johnson enjoyed a highly productive period with the Bristol Flyers in Super League Basketball. During the 2024–25 season, he averaged 17.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game across 28 league appearances, leading Bristol’s offence with his scoring ability and playmaking acumen.
Johnson’s impact was especially evident in key matchups, including a 21-point outing against the Riders, where he demonstrated his knack for taking over games with confidence and scoring from all three levels from aggressive drives to pull-up jumpers and efficient free-throw shooting.

Johnson’ also has an impressive college career in the United States. After two dominant seasons at Temple College in junior college, where he averaged 25 points per game. He later transferred to West Virginia University to compete in NCAA Division I basketball. At WVU, he became a reliable offensive option, averaging 11.7 points per game in his senior season, consistently creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates against high-level competition.
The club is currently working closely with the league to finalise Johnson’s licence approval, with the hope that he will be available to make his debut ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Manchester Basketball.
