About The Foundation

Leicester Riders Foundation, established in 2015 as a charitable trust, provides over 20,000 participants a year with a basketball experience. As part of the Riders Foundation’s commitment to the community of Leicester City and Leicestershire, the Leicester Sports Arena was erected in January 2016 to provide a home for the Leicester Riders professional Mens, Womens and Junior teams, as well as the surrounding communities.

Growing the sport of basketball lies at the heart of the Foundation, and a number of sessions are being delivered at Satellite and Project Hub funded sessions across the area. All part of a consistent pathway that leads to representing the Leicester Riders Basketball Club at a regional and national level. In alignment with developing players, the Foundation aims to also support the development of Coaches, Officials and Volunteers across a number of accredited courses.
