Alex Shaw

Alex shaw has joined the Charnwood College Riders for the 2020-21 season.

The 6’0 center started her basketball career at the age of 13 by joining Derby Trailblazers Basketball Club. Shaw played a prominent roll in both the u14s and u16’s team making the final fours during her 2018/19 season. She averaged 18 points per game with a career-high 22 points.

At the age of 15, Alex helped the Derby’s Division 2 women’s team reach the 2019 NBL finals and was selected for all-team at Manchester. In her spare time, she supported the club by volunteering to coach the younger members of Derby Trailblazers.

Shaw was also invited to the England (2018) and Great Britain (2019) selection camps and played in the East Midlands Regional Team.
